Contract and payment modalities

The German headquarters of A1 Digital is located in Munich. There are also regional sales organizations in Cologne, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Stuttgart and Berlin. Accordingly, A1 Digital is available to you as a German contract partner.

We accept credit cards, PayPal and bank transfers with SEPA or SWIFT. For customers from Switzerland, we also offer BVR payment. The standard payment methods are credit cards and PayPal. For all other options, please contact our A1 Digital Team.

Yes. We offer both prepaid and postpaid billing. Just choose the most comfortable method for you. The prepaid account gives you absolute cost certainty: just add credits and use our services until your credits are used up. This also allows you to easily test our services.

Once all your credits have been used up on your prepaid account, we stop your instances. If you want to restart your instances, you need to add credits.

A negative credit balance can occur, because with a stopped instance, the costs for the space reserved by you continue to run.

So, if you wait a few hours or days after consuming your credits before you book new credits, your credit balance will be negative. To be able to restart your instance, you must again have a positive credit balance and add a corresponding number of credits.

If you no longer want to add credits, we will delete your instance after a few weeks. We will inform you in good time and several times by e-mail during this period.

Yes. We also offer postpaid billing, whereby the same payment methods as for prepaid are available. By default, billing for newly created accounts is done as a prepaid account. However, you can opt for postpaid payment after activating your account. The consumed resources of your instances are collected by us and billed at the end of the month. You can call up the current cost status at any time in our Real-time Tracking.

We accept Euro and US Dollars, both currencies are available for your billing.

No. We do not charge a setup fee. Our model is "pay-as-you-go" with a real-time tracking of used resources. There are no setup or setup costs, and you only ever pay for the resources you actually use.

No. We do not charge a cancellation fee. Once you stop using resources, there are no additional costs for you.

Data protection

The security of your data and protection against unauthorized access is our ultimate goal. All our sites adhere to the strictest security standards (ISO 27001), and we are also a member of the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA).

In accordance with the provisions and recommendations of these security standards, we control access to our data centers located in Austria. Only our data center operator employees and accredited employees have physical access to the data center. Each access to individual racks in the data center is logged and audited. Hardware work on the servers is only carried out by specially trained employees.

Durable storage media (hard disks, SSDs) that need to be replaced are cryptographically locked and destroyed.

Since May 25, 2018, the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU-DSGVO) applies. This new regulation, which is aimed primarily at "protecting individuals in the processing of personal data", concerns all businesses. For A1 Digital, the safe and sensitive handling of data is top priority. An essential part of this is to make our data protection regulations transparent for all concerned. That's why we have three maxims of action for protecting your data:

  • We are consistently implementing legal regulations on data protection.
  • We are guided by international standards of information security.
  • Our privacy policy is transparent.

A1 Digital always adheres to current guidelines and laws and of course uses your data only if there is a suitable legal basis for doing so. The term "data processing" basically includes any process performed with this data, for example, collecting, capturing, organizing, organizing, storing, adapting or modifying, reading out, querying, using, disclosure by means of transmission , Distribution or any other form of provision, matching or linking, restriction, deletion or destruction of such data. Depending on which service you use, we can process the following types of data:

  • Your master data: these are surname and first name, academic degree, address, participant number and contact information (for example e-mail address, telephone number), information about the nature and content of our contractual relationship and your credit rating.
  • Other personal data provided with your consent or otherwise permissible at the time the contract is initiated or during the contractual relationship are: Date of birth or age, place of birth, marital status, sex, profession, identity card details, bank details, authority to represent or use, terminal used, Contract bond, contract term, notice period, products of subsidiaries of A1 Telekom Austria AG or other information about yourself that you have made public yourself.

Special categories of data according to DSGVO ("Sensitive Data" according to the Data Protection Act 2000), such as racial and ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or ideological convictions, trade union membership, genetic or health data are not processed.For the provision of telecommunications services, we may additionally process the following data according to your contract:

  • Your traffic data including location data: data that we process to forward a message to a communication network or to be billed, these are in particular active and passive subscriber numbers, IP addresses, log-in data, time and duration of the connection or the amount of data transmitted.
  • WLAN measurement data: Properties of the WLAN frequency used (transmission strength, overlay, network strength), duration of the connection, network strength and type of individual terminals as well as WLAN restoration and networking of mashup systems.
  • Content data is processed only for the purpose of message transmission and is not stored. This data is only stored at short notice when it is technically necessary or when it concerns service provision, for example SMS, mobile-box messages.
