Digital Resilience in Focus: New Study Reveals Strategies for a Sovereign Cloud Future
Cologne/Munich, November 6, 2025 – The latest study, EuroCloud Pulse Check 2025, conducted by techconsult in collaboration with EuroCloud Deutschland_eco, provides in-depth insights into the cloud strategies of German companies and illustrates how digital sovereignty and resilience are becoming key success factors. The survey included 258 IT and business decision-makers from companies with more than 50 employees.
At the heart of the study is the growing diversification of cloud usage: hybrid and multi-cloud models are gaining significant traction, while exclusive use of private clouds is declining. Currently, 57 percent of companies rely on hybrid architectures — and the trend is rising. Multi-cloud strategies are also being increasingly pursued to reduce dependencies and enhance flexibility.
The study further reveals that geopolitical uncertainties — such as U.S. foreign policy or the Russia-Ukraine conflict — have heightened awareness around digital sovereignty. Today, 83 percent of companies consider resilience and sovereignty to play an important or even decisive role in their cloud strategy.
