Reality Check 5G IoT: Revolution Delayed?

This paper provides a critical evaluation of 5G in the context of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), questioning whether 5G has truly lived up to its promises. When 5G was introduced, it was 
presented as a revolutionary technology for IoT, with claims of faster speeds, ultra-low latency, and support for massive device connectivity. As a conclusion of the evaluation, we propose a 
roadmap for enterprises for a cost efficient and future-orientated 5G technology implementation in the IIoT use cases.*
