A1 Digital's SIM management platform enables Epsilon to offer flexible, fast and - above all - network operator-independent connectivity.

Why epsilon chose to work with A1 Digital

Special platform for SIM card management

SIMplify for managing the cards and data

Global roaming SIM cards

The managed connectivity solution from A1 Digital also offers multi-network SIM cards that use practically every available cell phone network. If there is no or poor network coverage at the location, the SIM card automatically switches to the mobile network with the best coverage as part of the roaming tariff in order to ensure data flow. The SIM cards designed for global roaming also guarantee cross-border information transfer.

A1 Digital expertise in IoT

A1 Digital was quickly on board, because Epsilon recognized that A1 Digital not only had managed connectivity but also very good expertise in the IoT area and could already offer ready-to-use, tried-and-tested solutions, such as parking space monitoring or video monitoring of capacity utilization in chain stores.

Good pricing model

In addition to the good price model, another decisive point was the flexibility and speed of A1 Digital, since Epsilon was dependent on receiving quick feedback on project inquiries.

"Since we started working with A1 Digital at the end of 2019, we have continued to deepen the cooperation and put it on a broader basis. A1 Digital is no longer just a partner when it comes to managed connectivity, but now also a solution partner in the IoT area, whose expertise in the IoT area we use and who contributes ready-to-use, proven solutions."

Christian Krug Managing Director Epsilon Telecommunications GmbH

The Customer:

Epsilon Telecommunications GmbH from Oberkotzau in the district of Hof in Upper Franconia specializes in the B2B marketing of telecommunications services for medium-sized companies and has been active on the German market since 1998. As a distribution company, Epsilon now looks after around 800 sales partners in project business with their B2B customers nationwide. Epsilon has been established as a wholesaler in the area of business customers for many years with several large network operators and, with around 120,000 mobile phone contracts in the fixed network and mobile phone area nationwide, is one of the top-selling business distributors.

The Challenge:

From the realization that the established network operators in Germany had no flexible solutions for medium-sized companies in their portfolio for the topic of M2M or IoT, but only standard products that were too expensive on the one hand and on the other hand did not allow any commission to be modeled in indirect sales , Epsilon has built up specialized know-how in the field of M2M and IoT (Internet of Things), which resulted in the development of Fusion IoT. The SIM management platform, to which the portals of the individual network operators are connected, offers flexible, fast and, above all, network operator-independent connectivity, which means that customers can manage their M2M SIM cards - regardless of which carrier - via the platform.

The Solution:

Since smooth, stable connectivity of the IoT devices must be guaranteed, the SIM cards must work at any time and anywhere - keyword: national roaming. Since cooperation with the local providers proved to be extremely difficult on this point, Epsilon simply switched to Austria. Because the A1 Telekom subsidiary A1 Digital International GmbH offered exactly what Epsilon needed for its globally operating customers.

Christian Krug: "Overall, together with A1 Digital, we are very successful in marketing managed connectivity and IoT solutions. Due to the pandemic many medium-sized companies see great growth potential in digitalization. In addition, A1 Digital has turned out to be a very good partner who, like us, is on the move like a speedboat, true to the motto "from medium-sized companies for medium-sized companies".
