The challenge:

In order to guarantee the high quality standard, the machines must be constantly monitored in the context of personal customer contacts - worldwide. In view of an export share of more than 95%, this represented a very time-consuming process.

Global fleet management: Automated and sustainable

The solution:

Komptech developed a digitization strategy to network and track the distributed machines worldwide using special hardware and software. To ensure reliable data transmission worldwide, Komptech chose the A1 Digital, a technology partner with many years of experience in this field. Together, they implemented the A1 Digital Solution Fleet Management 4.0 with global networking. The M2M connectivity solution includes the proven M2M SIM chips for global networking, a custom M2M gateway including SIM chip and the IOT backend platform SIMplify Plus, which allows automated monitoring of a large number of SIM cards.

The result:

M2M SIM chips are now installed in the devices sold worldwide. Depending on the machine type, they send over 100 different data parameters in real time around the clock to the headquarters in Frohnleiten. In the event of a fault, an alarm is triggered and the damage is quickly assessed and rectified together with the service technician on site. Fleet management identifies the nature of the fault or whether the engine needs only oil. No matter where in the world, Komptech repairs defective machines on the spot on the same day, further enhancing its service to the customer - without the hassles of travel. As a result, the fleet management implemented by A1 Digital fits seamlessly into the "green efficiency®" innovation program launched in 2013, which stands for environmentally friendly technologies and sustainable sustainability.
