"Komptech has positioned itself as a high quality and innovative technology company for professional users on the world market. Of course, we also make this claim to our partners. A1 Digital lived up to this claim from the start, so we can look forward to the project with great satisfaction! During the six-month test phase and also since the series start in January 2018, there has been no failure of a module. This shows us that the quality is right and we have chosen the right partner. "
Since its founding in 1992, Komptech GmbH from Frohnleiten has developed into one of the leading international technology suppliers of machines and systems for the mechanical and biological treatment of solid waste and the processing of woody biomass. The focus here is on corporate values: Passion for innovative, environmentally friendly technology, full commitment in the interests of customers and social responsibility. Komptech currently has a product range with more than 30 different machine types that cover the essential process steps of modern waste treatment. In more than 60 countries around the world, around 4,000 customers rely on the precision and quality of Komptech products, thereby gaining a competitive edge in the marketplace.
In order to guarantee the high quality standard, the machines must be constantly monitored in the context of personal customer contacts - worldwide. In view of an export share of more than 95%, this represented a very time-consuming process.
Komptech developed a digitalization strategy to network and track the distributed machines worldwide using special hardware and software. To ensure reliable data transmission worldwide, Komptech chose the A1 Digital, a technology partner with many years of experience in this field. Together, they implemented the A1 Digital Solution Fleet Management 4.0 with global networking. The M2M connectivity solution includes the proven M2M SIM chips for global networking, a custom M2M gateway including SIM chip and the IOT backend platform SIMplify Plus, which allows automated monitoring of a large number of SIM cards.
M2M SIM chips are now installed in the devices sold worldwide. Depending on the machine type, they send over 100 different data parameters in real time around the clock to the headquarters in Frohnleiten. In the event of a fault, an alarm is triggered and the damage is quickly assessed and rectified together with the service technician on site. Fleet management identifies the nature of the fault or whether the engine needs only oil. No matter where in the world, Komptech repairs defective machines on the spot on the same day, further enhancing its service to the customer - without the hassles of travel. As a result, the fleet management implemented by A1 Digital fits seamlessly into the "green efficiency®" innovation program launched in 2013, which stands for environmentally friendly technologies and sustainable sustainability.
